The Langside Badminton League is back!

We are delighted to confirm that the Langside Badminton League will be back in action this season after a long 19-month hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Seven clubs across South Lanarkshire, East Renfrewshire and the southside of Glasgow will take part in two divisions in the mixed league, and one division in the women’s league:

At the end of the season, our popular annual tournament — Thornlee — will return for the first time since 2019, taking place across April and May 2022.

Unfortunately, due to a lack of hall availability, Greenbank Badminton Club will not be taking part in the league this year, but their players will be invited to join other clubs to take part in competitive badminton and our Thornlee tournament. Greenbank continue to host social club nights at Giffnock South Parish Church, and are looking for new players to join them for a hit. If you are interested, please get in touch.

We continue to look for more competitive players, particularly more women, to join our clubs to take part in both mixed and women’s doubles matches. You can have a look at our clubs by visiting www.langsidebadminton.co.uk/clubs. If you would like to play for a club in the Langside Badminton League this season, email contact@langsidebadminton.co.uk and we will put you in touch with your nearest club.
