Langside registers two teams — one mixed doubles and one level doubles — to compete in the Glasgow Churches Badminton League, under the name “Langside Competitive”. The teams are made up of players across the eight clubs in the Langside League who continue to produce strong results in matches. It gives opportunities for new partnerships to form at both local and national level in individual and team events across Scotland. The club is a BADMINTONscotland affiliated club (CL000043).
Players are selected to compete for the two teams by the team captains — Linzi Greig (Mixed Doubles) and Stephen Hendry (Level Doubles).
To be selected to play for the team, players compete in matches in our league and our end of season tournament, Thornlee. Following successful results, players are then invited to play for Langside Competitive by the team captains for the following season.
