Scottish Women’s Badminton Festival

Langside Badminton is proud to support a new venture, aiming to increase the number of wonen’s doubles opportunities across Scotland.

The Scottish Women’s Badminton Festival will take place on 10 June 2023 at the Sir Craig Reedie (Cockburn) Badminton Centre. The event is a joint venture being organised by Linzi Greig of Strathaven Badminton Club in South Lanarkshire, and Suzanne Zwane of Western Badminton Club in Edinburgh. It is also being supported by BADMINTONscotland President, Carolyn Young.

Competitive women badminton players across Scotland are invited to enter in to the event, and will be placed in to equally-balanced groups, competing in a team event against other competitiors. This will provide women across Scotland the opportunity to meet and play with different women that they may not have had a chance to play with before.

To take part, entrants need to be members of BADMINTONscotland and aged 18+ by 10 June 2023. This event is suitable to competitive players who would normally take part in league matches, ranking or masters events.
